Cocktails and Mocktails in Albuquerque

If you’re looking for the best spots for a refreshing cocktail or mocktail in Albuquerque, you’re in the right place. As a locals, Daniel and I have discovered some hidden gems and neighborhood favorites that are perfect for unwinding and soaking in the city's unique vibe. So, grab a seat and let's dive into Albuquerque’s vibrant drink scene – there’s something here for everyone!

The Tap Room at Old Town

This place is a short walk from the Stay property. Like the name says, they’re a taproom with lots of beers to offer. But they also have a really great, creative, seasonally inspired cocktail menu.

Happy Accidents

This place is super funky and fun. Their menu is EXTENSIVE and frequently changing, so be ready to scan a QR code to see their offerings. They have really great bar food too, so you can do dinner and drinks all in one. If you happen to be here during the holidays, they transform the whole space into a heavily decorated holiday “miracle” and theme the whole menu to match.

Apothecary Lounge

If you’re into rooftop bars at sunset, this is your place. Located at the top of the Hotel Parq Central, The Apothecary Lounge is a great place to enjoy a cocktail while you watch the sun set. A little history, this building is a renovated psychiatric hospital and is rumored to be haunted.

Sitting right at the edge of Albuquerque’s downtown, this bar is a bit of an adventure. You enter through the El Rey liquor store, provide the password, and are lead through an industrial refrigerator door into the basement bar. Their drinks are awesome and the atmosphere is intimate and fun.

This one is for the mocktail lovers! There’s no alcohol at this bar, just a relaxing atmosphere with delicious drinks. They have some drinks inspired by classic cocktails, like a mojito or an old fashioned. But there are other menu offerings that are entirely unique.
